Green Growth Brands Inc. (CSE: GGB) (OTCQB: GGBXF) announced on Monday that it has entered into an agreement with Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG) through which the Company will open 108 shop locations in malls throughout the U.S. The Ohio based cannabis company plans to sell its CBD infused products as soon as March this year when the first shop is scheduled to open at Castleton Square Mall in Indianapolis. The remaining locations will be added over the course of 2019.
“We are constantly on the lookout for cutting-edge new concepts, like the GGB shops,” said John Rulli, President of Simon Malls. “We are committed to adding new and dynamic retailers and uses to our shopping destinations, and the GGB shopping experience is exactly the type of innovation our customers want and expect from us. We’re excited to work on the GGB launch, and look forward to a long and deepening relationship as we build this network together.”
Green Growth operates six total brands serving distinct markets. The Company recently landed a deal in January with footwear retailer DSW to sell hemp-derived CBD personal care products under its Seventh Sense Botanical Therapy brand. As a result of Green Growth’s agreement with Simon Property Group, the Company will now be able to further expand its line of CBD infused beauty products under Seventh Sense.
Both deals by Green Growth come shortly after the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, signed in to law by President Donald Trump, which opened the door for retail sale of hemp derived CBD products.
