On October 11th, 2018, Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL)
reported its third quarter financial results. The airline beat analyst estimates, driven by higher travel demand. For the quarter, Delta reported adjusted earnings per share of USD 1.80, increasing 16% year over year. Adjusted operating revenue of USD 11.8 Billion, increased 8% year over year. The growth was due to an increase in improvements in Delta’s business such as a 20% increase in premium product ticket revenue and double digit increases in cargo, loyalty and maintenance, repair and overhaul revenue.
