Born and raised in New York, Mia has a passion for meeting new people, learning new things and is passionate about the environment. She attended New York Harbor School on Governors Island which specializes in oyster restoration and marine life. She worked on the islands farm for two years, and built a hydroponics system for the garden using fish inside of it.

Aside from her environmental studies she also enjoys volunteering at nursing homes and soup kitchens for the homeless. Her aspirations are to become a nurse while still doing and learning as much as possible about the world around her.
