
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD) had an impressive return as a serious competitor in the semiconductor and GPU market. Recent leaked AMD Ryzen Mobile APU benchmarks show that the APU is expected to deliver almost double the performance as compared to previous generation products. Shares of AMD up more than 5% Monday, and more than 115% in a year.
In a recent press release, published on August 31st, AMD announced broad adoption of enterprise solutions featuring AMD Ryzen™ PRO desktop processors. Designed for business, Ryzen PRO processors bring reliability, security, and performance to address the demands of today’s compute-intensive enterprise-focused workloads. Commercially-focused desktop solutions based on these new processors are expected to be available from Dell, HP Inc (NYSE: HPQ), and Lenovo in the coming weeks.
