Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) on July 11, Amazon will be having their third annual Prime Day which is the biggest sales event of the year. The very first Prime Day was held on July 15, 2015 to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary boosting sales and bringing in new Prime members each year with last year’s increasing sales to more than 60 percent.
Amazon Prime members will have the opportunity to purchase more than 100,000 discounted items. Non Amazon Prime members will be able to sign up for a 30-day free trial to gain full access to Prime day. Throughout the entire day, many deals will be released and are available for a set time or until the product is sold out. This sales event is offered to customers in 13 countries and can members can be on the look out for promotions beginning as early as Thursday.
Starting this year, Amazon Prime members can start deal shopping from 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on July 10 that’ll last for 30 hours with new deals coming out every 5 minutes. Items range from clothing, electronics, and home goods. The best products include Kindle e-readers, Amazon Echo smart speakers, tablets, and TVs which will be priced way cheaper than usual.
As Amazon’s plan to acquire Whole Foods continues, the company wishes to push further into grocery items and wants to sell a variety of food and household items for as much as 35 percent off with coupons in Prime Pantry.
