Amazon Map Tracker Gives you Real-Time Info on Orders

Published on: 24 May, 2018

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) recently implemented a new feature to their deliveries - the Amazon Map Tracker. It gives customers real-time information of their Amazon order as it is being delivered, similar to the dot you see on your mobile phone as an Uber or Lyft driver comes.

It provides live updates on the details of drivers' delivery routes, including how many stops are left for the package. When there are less than 10 stops remaining on the courier's route, the driver's location will become available for the customer. Customers can access the map by using the "track package" feature on Amazon's website.

Amazon has required their delivery drivers to take pictures of packages at the door once delivered. The company are also aiming to start delivering products directly to your car if eligible.

These features only works with packages within Amazon's logistics network and not those delivered by other shipping vendors like the UPS, USPS or FedEx.

Amazon is constantly innovating on their ways to deliver to their customer base more seamlessly. More recently, it was with this new map tracking feature, snapshotting photos of the order at your door when the package has arrived, and delivering it straight to your car.
